We just took our first trip to Key West today and opted to rent bikes instead of renting a golf cart or taking the “train” or trolley so that we could be in control of our visit (for the day). This turned out to be a great way to get around Key West on OUR schedule. The island is mostly flat, so pedaling effort was pretty minimal. After getting off of the Key West Express, we walked just a few blocks from the marina to Eaton Bikes, where we were greeted by a knowledgeable and friendly staff. The options were clear and pricing was very fair. We opted to upgrade to the Comfort ride bikes and within minutes of our order, they were bringing out a pair of bikes sized for us. They made seat height adjustments, gave us some instructions, and sent us on our way with a pair of complimentary bike locks so that we could lock them up at any one of the numerous bike racks around the island. We couldn’t have been happier with our decision!
